When a brand chooses to reinvent itself, going so far as to change its name, it’s not a decision made lightly. Such was the case for one of my clients, GoodStory – formerly known as Realestating.co and offshoot Lifestyle Homes Ottawa.
Founders Jenniffer and Leo Alvarenga wanted to find a name that truly spoke to their philosophy and the values they bring to the market.
“What’s in a name? ‘Good’ is all about happiness. Calm. Warmth. Peace of mind. And why ‘Story’? Well, stories are what makes us human. Stories connect us,” they said in announcing the new name.
Granted, their choice of name is an unusual one that will require educating the public, but kudos to them for a refreshing and brave step.
